According to Google News HU — Crime (hu), Baranya County Police Headquarters has closed the case of a four-person group whose members attacked a 40-year-old man on Komlói Road in Pécs on the morning of 15 February.

The incident had earlier origins: the 40-year-old victim had an argument with a 33-year-old man, who then together with three associates attacked the victim with various tools and damaged his vehicle. The perpetrators' equipment included: an axe carried by one, a hammer by another, an iron rod by a third, and a long rod with a sharp end attached by the fourth. The four men not only damaged the car but also inflicted serious injuries on the victim.

According to a medical expert's assessment, the nature and location of the injuries did not exclude the possibility of permanent disability or a life-threatening condition developing.

The investigation initially began on suspicion of group disorderly conduct committed while armed and grievous bodily harm, though the proceedings eventually continued for attempted murder, a crime against road safety, and damage.

Police arrested the 33-year-old and a 45-year-old man from Pécs that same day, and subsequently identified and questioned a 21-year-old and a 40-year-old suspect. All four were taken into custody, and the court ordered their detention.

Baranya County Police Headquarters completed the investigation in recent days and forwarded the case file to the prosecution with a proposal to press charges.
