A man was arrested on Margaret Island, one of the capital's most popular green spaces, on 7 June, after dancing naked in front of minors – according to Police.hu.
Officers of the Response Police were on patrol duty when they received an alert. According to the report, an individual had removed his clothes near the fountain and had begun moving in the presence of young girls and boys.
A security guard on the scene detained the suspect. The uniformed officers who arrived established that the individual was not a Hungarian citizen and was living in homelessness in the capital. During identification, it was discovered that the authorities were searching for him, as they had been unable to locate him previously.
The suspect was under the influence of severe intoxication. He was unwilling to cooperate with law enforcement personnel, behaved in a hostile manner, and did not respond to warnings. He made threatening gestures towards the officers and the security guard. The police were forced to use physical force and subsequently placed him in handcuffs.
According to witness statements, the perpetrator stripped naked, began moving, and then walked further.
He was taken to the District XII police headquarters, where a misdemeanour procedure was initiated against him for breach of public order.
