NAV transferred seized BMW X5 to police as proceeds of crime
The NAV transferred a BMW X5 xDrive 30D vehicle seized from a criminal offence to the Budapest Police Headquarters. The law allows investigative authorities to receive suitable vehicles.

The National Tax and Customs Administration (NAV) transferred a high-value BMW X5 xDrive 30D vehicle obtained through criminal activity to the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) – the authority announced on Friday, according to Telex.
"The NAV will be able to use the BMW X5 xDrive 30D vehicle to carry out law enforcement tasks in the future," wrote the NAV in its statement.
According to the authority's explanation, the majority of seized vehicles are advertised on their e-auction site, however the law provides the opportunity to offer suitable vehicles to investigative authorities. "After proper preparation, these assets will continue to serve the public good and will support the operational work of investigative bodies," they explained the procedure.
According to the statement, high-value vehicles offered by the NAV are always taken over and used by law enforcement agencies, so property seized from criminal offences directly supports official work.
