A 17-year-old boy has admitted to stabbing his aunt to death and throwing her body into a waterway in the area between Via Canaletta and Via Verdi, in Pordenone province. According to the reconstruction by law enforcement, the crime was committed last Thursday.
The woman's disappearance was reported by family members on Saturday. After just a few hours of investigation, the carabinieri noticed inconsistencies in the young man's account of his movements in the preceding days. Following interrogation during the night alongside the deputy prosecutor of Pordenone, the boy ultimately confessed.
Currently, firefighters are concentrating their search in the area around the lock of the waterway where, according to the 17-year-old's reconstruction, the victim's body was abandoned.
