A 48-year-old teacher, confined to his home with a residence order since 4 June, is under investigation for alleged sexual assaults, moral coercion and abuse of pupils at the Teulié military school. The alleged facts date back to autumn 2024.
To crystallise the statements of the young people ahead of trial, magistrate Elio Sparacino will preside over a special hearing on 22 and 23 July. The first nine alleged victims will be heard at that session.
The request was made by the public prosecutor Alessia Menegazzo, assisted by Letizia Mannella, head of the section dedicated to vulnerable groups and the prosecution of sexual offences. In the meantime, investigators are attempting to locate additional students who may have suffered unlawful conduct by the teacher.
The investigation is also expanding to two other officers, suspected of having delayed reporting what they would have learned within the school facility.
