Knife attack in Milan: 55-year-old stabbed 20 times, attacker arrested
A 55-year-old man was stabbed more than 20 times in a Milan bar whilst having breakfast with his father. The attacker, a 22-year-old, was arrested. The victim is in guarded condition but showing slight improvement.

A 55-year-old man, Gerardo P., was assaulted with a cutting weapon inside a Milan bar whilst having breakfast with his father. The victim sustained over twenty stab and cut wounds, inflicted by a 22-year-old, Lamin Saidilly, who was completely unknown to the victim at the time of the incident.
Following the assault, which took place yesterday morning, the fifty-five-year-old was urgently transported to Niguarda hospital in the city. Later that same evening he underwent surgery. Clinical conditions are considered stable, but the prognosis remains guarded; doctors expect to be able to determine it in the coming hours.
The attacker was detained by law enforcement. At present, no evidence has emerged suggesting a pre-existing link between the two people involved.
