In the middle of the night, a deliberate fire struck the Sicily by car depot in the Sicilian capital. Nine cars and two vans were completely destroyed. It is the third threatening act in less than three months against the company owned by Tommaso Dragotto.

A vehicle depot in the historic centre of Palermo was devastated by a fire deliberately set in the night between Wednesday and Thursday. Eleven company vehicles were lost: nine cars and two vans. The flames developed around 2:30 a.m. in via San Lorenzo, the headquarters of Sicily by car.
Firefighters, called to the scene, worked to extinguish the blaze and secure the area. The investigation has been entrusted to the competent authorities, who are not ruling out any lead. The economic damage to the business is considered substantial.
The event is part of a series of hostile actions that have targeted entrepreneur Tommaso Dragotto, the company's owner, for months. On 27 May, another fire at the newly opened showroom in Villagrazia di Carini compromised approximately twenty vehicles on display. In March, the same building on via San Lorenzo had been targeted: on the 21st of the month, unknown individuals fired assault rifle shots at the entrance.
The frequency and method of the raids suggest a systematic operation aimed at damaging the owner's business. No claim of responsibility has emerged so far. Law enforcement is reconstructing movements in the hours preceding the latest incident, analysing images from surveillance cameras in the area.
