Officers from the Mobile Squad arrested a 36-year-old man found in a car with 40 grammes of cocaine, scales and over 200 bullets of various calibres.

A 36-year-old man was arrested in Avellino following an operation by the Mobile Squad of the Questura (police headquarters), conducted under the direction of the local Public Prosecutor's Office. The operation was part of intensified checks against drug trafficking in the area.
Investigators stopped the suspect whilst he was driving his own vehicle. A search led to the discovery of almost half an ounce of cocaine, instruments for weighing and dividing the substance, as well as a sum of 150 euros in small denomination notes.
During the course of the same investigations, another serious matter came to light: the detainee was illegally concealing a considerable quantity of ammunition, exceeding 200 rounds of different calibres. For this reason he was also reported for unlawful possession of bullets.
After standard procedures, the 36-year-old was taken to the local prison. It should be noted that the charges brought are preliminary in nature and guilt shall be established exclusively by a final sentence.
