Operation "Omnes" in Andria: 40 people arrested for drug trafficking
An operation by the Mobile Squad of Barletta-Andria-Trani has resulted in the arrest of 40 people accused of operating a drug market in the Apulian town. Over 26,000 euros were seized and urban bans (Daspo urbani) were issued.

Forty individuals have been imprisoned following an operation conducted in the Apulian municipality of Andria. The arrested persons, ranging in age from 20 to 60 years old, face charges related to the trafficking and possession of psychotropic substances.
The operation, dubbed "Omnes", was carried out by officers of the Mobile Squad under the direction of the Trani Public Prosecutor's Office. According to information released by the State Police website, investigations identified a criminal group managing the drug market in various districts of the city.
The mechanism was organised with a "switchboard operator" system that managed client contacts by telephone, arranging meeting times for delivery. These coordinators would then alert the area dealers, who would move towards meeting points using electric scooters or electrically assisted bicycles.
Investigators had to contend with the difficulty of intercepting exchanges that occurred sporadically, often during the normal activities of the drug dealers.
During the investigations, over 26,000 euros were seized, proceeds from the illicit trafficking. Ten additional individuals were reported to authorities, and all those arrested were issued with an urban ban (Daspo urbano) by the local Prefect, with the aim of preventing infiltration of criminal elements into stadium supporter groups.
Operation "Omnes" follows the previous "Oppidum" operation, which in recent months had already resulted in the arrest of thirty individuals for similar offences.
