Two teenagers barely of legal age have been arrested in Cagliari for pursuing and repeatedly ramming a car carrying five people, including two minors. The impact against a street light pole caused injuries and multiple fractures.

A nighttime pursuit along Cagliari's coastline ended with a vehicle overturning and five people being injured, including two teenagers. The Mobile Squad arrested two young men from the outskirts of the city, both just eighteen years old, accused of turning an argument outside a nightclub into a street manhunt.
The incident began on the evening of 27 April, when a father arrived with his wife at a well-known establishment in the coastal area to pick up their two children and a friend of theirs. Upon leaving, the family group was approached by the two suspects, visibly intoxicated, who for trivial reasons first attacked the parent.
In an attempt to get his loved ones to safety, the man started the car with all five people on board. The two attackers, however, did not give up: in their vehicle they began a high-speed pursuit along the Saline seafront. During the chase, they repeatedly rammed and violently struck the fleeing vehicle, causing it to swerve and overturn against a public lighting pole.
The final scene was captured by surveillance cameras in the area, which documented the impact and loss of control of the car. During the pursuit, the mother of the teenagers, in a state of panic, called the emergency number 112 begging for help.
All occupants of the overturned vehicle were taken to hospital with injuries of varying severity, including multiple fractures and trauma. The investigation by the Section for Offences against the Person, coordinated by the Cagliari Prosecutor's Office, was based on witness statements from the victims, analysis of telephone records, images from surveillance systems, and technical surveys carried out by the Local Police at the crash site.
It also emerged that the driver of the vehicle used for the pursuit was not in possession of a driving licence. The two young men were transferred to the Uta Correctional Facility.
