25-year-old jailed in Ragusa for aggravated theft
A 25-year-old man has been imprisoned at Ragusa jail following the revocation of the alternative custodial measure that had been granted to him. The order was issued by the investigating magistrate of the provincial capital in south-eastern Sicily.
The young man had previously been found responsible for an aggravated theft that took place in the seaside resort of Marina di Ragusa. Initially he had been given the opportunity to serve his sentence at his home address, with monitoring via electronic device. However, this measure was subsequently revoked.
Officers from the Mobile division of the Questura tracked down the convicted man and proceeded with his arrest. The 25-year-old is currently held in the city prison, awaiting the magistrate's decisions.
