This morning, a 55-year-old man was seriously wounded with a cutting weapon in the Milan district of San Siro. The incident occurred outside a premises on via Capecelatro, at around 7.30am. The injured man was rushed to hospital, where he was admitted in critical condition.
State Police officers responded swiftly and arrested a 22-year-old boy, believed to be the perpetrator of the assault. From initial information gathered, the two individuals had no previous connection. Both are foreign nationals but were born in Italian territory.
The motives for the act have not yet been clarified. Investigators are looking into the facts to reconstruct the dynamics of events. Among the lines of inquiry being pursued is the possibility of a psychiatric condition in the young aggressor.
