A 22-year-old man repeatedly stabbed an unknown man in a venue in Milan. The victim is hospitalised under reserved prognosis. The attacker, stopped by police, has expressed the intention to repeat the act.

A customer at a Milan bar was struck by approximately twenty stab wounds on 4 July. The attacker, a young man of 22 years old born in the province of Treviso, acted inside the venue with his face covered with a dark balaclava. The victim was struck on the back without any warning.
According to information gathered by Ansa, the weapon wielded measured 21 centimetres. The blows struck the head, neck, chest and abdominal area. Images of the incident were recorded by surveillance cameras placed outside the bar.
The injured man, transported urgently to Niguarda Hospital, underwent several operations. He is currently admitted to intensive care following the operations. The wounds to the abdomen and chest are not particularly deep. Doctors are assessing his condition as improving, with a reserved prognosis but with no predictions of serious complications. The period of hospitalisation should not be prolonged.
During the detention, the young man reportedly made disturbing statements to officers, saying he had enjoyed himself and wanted to repeat the action once released. Prosecutor Elio Ramondini requested from judge Luigi Iannelli the validation of the arrest for attempted murder, highlighting the risk of flight and the possibility that the crime could be committed again.
The validation hearing is scheduled for the following morning at San Vittore prison.
