Police have arrested a young man from Padua who fired gunshots from a moving car in the Arcella district. Two other people on board managed to flee.

A twenty-two-year-old resident of the Veneto regional capital has been detained and placed under arrest on suspicion of firing several bullets from a vehicle passing through the Arcella district. Two other individuals were on board the vehicle and managed to evade capture.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening. The method used is reminiscent of the "Neapolitan stesa", a ritual employed by Campania criminal organisations to assert control over a territory. A revolver with the identification number scratched off was recovered in the immediate vicinity of the vehicle.
During a search of the young man's home, officers seized a dog repellent gun. The 22-year-old has been arrested and will be tried under direct judgement proceedings.
