On 2 July, Genti Berisha, a 26-year-old of Albanian origin, spent just one hour under house arrest before being transferred back to a cell. The young man is under investigation for the fatal accident that occurred on 22 June in Peschiera Borromeo, in the Milan area, in which local police officer Francesco Imprezzabile lost his life.
On Wednesday morning, Milan judge Giulia Masci had signed the order releasing him, subject to the obligation of wearing an electronic monitoring device. However, upon returning home, a squad comprising municipal police officers and investigators from Monza's mobile unit raided the property to execute a new restrictive measure.
The decision to imprison him again was made by the supervising magistrate in Brescia, where the young man must answer to a far more serious charge: the trafficking of narcotics.
