An officer from the Mecenate Police Station has been expelled from the force following his arrest for killing a young drug dealer in the Rogoredo district of Milan.

A State Police officer has been removed from service with immediate effect. The measure, signed by the head of the Department on 20 May, was delivered to the recipient on 22 May while he was in custody.
The man, assigned to the Mecenate Police Station, is accused of having killed a 28-year-old Moroccan youth on the afternoon of 26 January. The incident occurred in an area known for drug trafficking in the Rogoredo district, during an operation to combat drug trafficking.
According to the reconstruction by magistrates, the officer allegedly fired a deliberate shot at the victim with full awareness. He subsequently allegedly altered the crime scene by placing a fake weapon next to the body, in an attempt to make it appear that the young man was armed. He is also alleged to have attempted to influence his colleagues to support a defensive version that did not correspond to the truth.
The judge for preliminary investigations, in a review hearing, confirmed the detention in prison, rejecting the request for an alternative measure. The officer is also charged with the aggravating factor of having premeditated the action.
The charges include various offences: in addition to homicide, he is charged with extortion, violence, trafficking in narcotic substances, illegal deprivation of personal liberty, abuse of office, wrongful arrest, defamation through false statements, falsity in a public deed, obstruction of investigations, and theft by snatching.
The investigation involves a total of seven members of the law enforcement forces, with a total of 43 charges. The investigations revealed the existence of a squad that, starting from 2024, allegedly operated illegally in the Lombardy capital.
