In the Lucento district of Turin, officers from the Madonna di Campagna Police Station arrested a 28-year-old man for robbery. The victim is an elderly man who was assaulted on the street by an individual riding an electric scooter.
According to the State Police website, the assault took place at the intersection of via Gorresio and corso Potenza. The robber approached the elderly person, dismounted from the scooter, threw the victim to the ground and struck him until he tore the gold necklace from him. He then remounted the vehicle and fled.
The investigation by police officers, supported by recordings from surveillance cameras, allowed them to identify the attacker. A few days later, officers located him on via Leinì and proceeded to arrest him.
The man, a Moroccan citizen, is illegally in Italy and had already been issued two expulsion decrees from the national territory.
