Rome, four drug dealers arrested by Falchi in eastern district
Four drug dealers have been arrested in the eastern zone of the capital in an operation conducted by the Falchi of the Mobile Squad. Officers seized over 80 packets of cocaine and approximately 900 euros.
The first arrested is a young man of 21 years old, originally from Libya, who was operating at Ponte di Nona. He had set up a system of rapid deliveries for customers, hiding the merchandise at two different locations: at the base of a tree and inside a pole in an unused sports field. To avoid suspicion, he constantly changed his modus operandi. Police officers observed him for an extended period, documenting every transaction, then stopped him whilst he was handing over the drugs. Twenty-six packets of cocaine were found in his possession.
At Quarticciolo, the Falchi arrested a 53-year-old man who was using his car as a mobile distribution point. The individual would retrieve doses from the handbrake and pass them to buyers without ever leaving the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, 34 packets of narcotic substance and almost 900 euros in cash were discovered, considered proceeds of drug dealing.
Finally, in the area between Tor Bella Monaca and Tor Sapienza, a 52-year-old Pakistani man and a 19-year-old Tunisian man were arrested. The latter two were hiding cocaine on their persons, concealed in their clothing, ready to be sold. Investigators recovered a further 20 packets.
The Court validated all custody measures. It should be noted that all those under investigation are presumed innocent until final judgment.
