Sardinia, anti-drug operation in Campidano: arrest in Monastir and 50,000 euros seized in San Gavino
The Mobile Squad of Cagliari carried out an anti-drug operation in two municipalities in Campidano. The investigation began following reports of illicit trafficking in the centres of Monastir, Ussana, San Gavino and Sanluri.
In Monastir, police officers surprised a young man with no previous convictions while he was delivering a dose to a customer from Ussana. In his home, 16 grammes of cocaine, equipment for packaging, 900 euros and a replica pistol with blank cartridges were found. He was taken into custody.
In the same operation, in San Gavino, investigators searched the home of a man already reported for drug trafficking. Thanks to drug-detection dogs, they found 50,000 euros in a vacuum-sealed package and material for cutting drugs. He was reported to authorities.
