Turin, 20-year-old arrested for drug dealing in Parella neighbourhood
In the Parella neighbourhood of Turin, officers from the State Police arrested a 20-year-old boy, an Italian citizen, found with substantial quantities of psychotropic substances. The operation began following a report concerning packages abandoned in the stairwells of a building in the area.
The police officers, upon arriving at the scene, discovered two packages: one containing tablets of green colour, the other containing white powder inside. Subsequent investigations made it possible to trace the suspect's flat, where a search of the premises was carried out.
During the search, investigators found various objects used for drug consumption, still contaminated by traces of powder. A packet of ketamine, two pieces of hashish and numerous small plastic bags of the same type as those found in the building's stairwells were also seized.
Overall, law enforcement confiscated 52 ecstasy tablets, more than 50 grammes of ketamine and 15 grammes of hashish. Materials for packaging doses and 155 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from the sale of narcotics, were also seized.
The young man was taken into custody and handed over to the competent judicial authorities. Investigations are ongoing to establish whether the 20-year-old was connected to a wider network of illicit trafficking in the city.
