Turin, twenty-year-old arrested in Campidoglio district: ecstasy, ketamine and hashish seized
The State Police have arrested a twenty-year-old man, an Italian citizen, for possession of controlled substances. The operation took place in the Campidoglio district, where officers from the Flying Squad were called to a building after the discovery of a small bag containing green tablets on the stairs.
Upon arrival, the officers also found a plastic bag and wrapping containing white powder. The investigation led officers to focus on a flat occupied by the young man, where several objects commonly used for drug consumption were found on the bedside table and shelves, still soiled with powdered substance.
During the search of the flat, law enforcement seized a bag of ketamine, two pieces of hashish and several small plastic bags, identical to those found on the building's stairs. In total, the seized material comprises 52 ecstasy tablets, more than 50 grammes of ketamine and 15 grammes of hashish. Tools useful for packaging doses and 155 euros in cash were also confiscated.
The criminal proceedings are still in the preliminary investigation phase; therefore, the person under investigation enjoys the presumption of innocence until final conviction.
