Sora, three individuals charged with threats and assault against officers

According to questure.poliziadistato.it, officers from the Public Safety Commissariat of Sora have charged three people in a state of freedom with threats and assault against a public official.

The intervention took place last Friday, when officers went to the home of a family with a substantial police record to carry out an operation authorised by the Judicial Authority.

During the operation, the three occupants of the property — two men aged 45 and 30 years old and a woman aged 28 years old — adopted an uncooperative attitude from the outset. Their offensive and threatening behaviour continued throughout the duration of the intervention, with the stated intent to induce the officers to desist from their activity.

At the conclusion of the operation, the three were referred to the Judicial Authority for the offences charged.

The police headquarters clarifies that the suspects are, at the present time, to be considered only indicted of a criminal offence. Their position will be definitively evaluated in judicial proceedings and, only following a judgment that has become final, could they eventually be recognised as guilty in a definitive manner, in compliance with the constitutional principle of the presumption of innocence.
