The Treviso prosecutor has requested the closure of investigations into five people involved in the death of the 25-year-old who fell from a cliff after taking drugs.

The investigating magistrate in Treviso has filed a request for closure of proceedings against five people who came under investigation in connection with the disappearance of Alex Marangon, the twenty-five-year-old who fell into a ravine in Vidor during the night of 29 to 30 June 2024.
According to what emerged from the investigation, the young man was in a psychotic state when he decided to cross a balustrade and let himself fall into the void from a height of approximately ten metres, ending up in the Piave river. The prosecutor believes that this condition was caused by the voluntary use of drugs, without any third parties being able to be held responsible.
The request for closure of the case concerns the organisers of the event, Andrea Zuin and Tatiana Marchetto, the owner of the venue, Alexandra Da Sacco, and the two shamanic ritual conductors, Jhonni Benavides and Sebastian Castillo. A request for closure is also being made regarding the charge of voluntary homicide committed by unknown persons.
The victim's body, a resident of Marcon, was recovered from the river two days after the incident, near the point where it had struck the bottom of the cliff. Examination of his electronic devices revealed that Marangon was aware of the effects of the drugs he was about to take, including ayahuasca and cocaine.
The family of the 25-year-old made known that they will file an appeal against the prosecutor's decision.
