Triple homicide in Rome: search under way for suspected perpetrator
On Friday evening, three members of the same family were found dead in an apartment located on Via Montiglio, in the Pineta Sacchetti neighbourhood of the capital. The victims — a father, mother and their six-year-old daughter — bore wounds inflicted by a sharp weapon.
Investigators from the Mobile Squad are conducting intensive investigations to reconstruct what happened and identify those responsible. According to initial information gathered by ANSA, police are searching for a man, a national of the victims and their acquaintance, who would have family ties with the murdered family unit.
The crime has spread terror through the apartment building and the entire neighbourhood. At present, law enforcement authorities have not released further details about the motive or the exact manner of the attack. The case is the subject of an investigation opened by the Rome Public Prosecutor's Office.
