The cybercriminal who previously compromised the servers of Latvia's state forests (Latvijas valsts meži, LVM) has also carried out an attack on the servers of pharmaceutical manufacturer Olpha, the cybersecurity incident response agency Cert.lv told the agency LETA.

The attack on Olpha servers was carried out by the same attacker who had previously attacked the information systems of the state forests. This incident is part of a broader cyber attack campaign directed against Latvian companies and state institutions.

Cybersecurity experts continue to investigate the scope of the attack and what data may have fallen into the hands of the attackers. Companies and institutions have been urged to strengthen their cybersecurity and report suspicious activities.
