The same cybercriminal who infiltrated the servers of state enterprise "Latvian State Forests" (LVM) has also carried out a cyber attack on the servers of pharmaceutical manufacturer "Olpha", the cyber incident response agency "Cert.lv" told the portal LSM.

The attack on the pharmaceutical manufacturer occurred simultaneously with the compromise of LVM servers. The agency does not disclose the attacker's identity or motivation, but confirms that both attacks are linked.

"Olpha" is one of the largest manufacturers of non-woven surgical sterilisation covers and other medical products in Latvia. The compromise of the company's servers could endanger sensitive production and customer data.

The State Police and "Cert.lv" are continuing their investigation to determine the origin of the attacker and the full extent of the damage caused.
