Courland Regional Court has sentenced two individuals to prison for a hate crime that occurred in July 2024 in Ventspils municipality, according to LSM.

The convicted individuals became involved in a conflict with a Ukrainian citizen at a public event. During this confrontation, they made hateful remarks related to the victim's nationality. Additionally, they inflicted moderate injuries on other people as well.

The court announced its decision on 18 June, according to an LSM report.
