Law enforcement officers arrived at one of the residential properties in Lendži Parish, Rēzekne Municipality, following a tip received. In the flat, they found a toddler who was only one and a half years old. The premises were very dirty and did not meet hygiene requirements. Both of the child's parents were under the influence of alcohol.
This incident occurred slightly more than twelve months after a tragic event that shocked the same community. At that time, a young boy named Andrejs Kuznetsov went missing, and medical professionals were unable to save him.
