A large brawl occurred on Siļķu Street in which two participants were injured and taken into medical care. Police have detained the suspected perpetrator.
Two people hospitalised after street fight in Liepāja
A large brawl broke out on Siļķu Street in Liepāja yesterday evening between several people. Two of those involved sustained injuries and received medical assistance.
The emergency medical service was called to the scene at around 21.40, whilst law enforcement learned of the conflict at approximately 21.38. Upon arrival, police officers found several people, two of whom had been injured.
A representative of the State Police, Rūta Strautniece, stated that the suspected perpetrator has been detained. A criminal case has been opened and an investigation is currently underway to establish all the circumstances of what occurred.
