Lithuanian arrested in large illegal cigarette seizure in Riga
Tax and customs police officers, in cooperation with State Border Guard personnel, conducted a warehouse inspection in Riga, in the Teika area, at the end of June. During the raid, a large quantity of cigarettes, vehicles, tracking devices and other items were seized.

At the end of June, tax and customs police officers, together with State Border Guard personnel, conducted a warehouse inspection in Riga, in the Teika area. During the raid, a large quantity of cigarettes, as well as vehicles, tracking equipment and other items were seized.
Investigators concluded that the seized items indicated an intention to transport a significant cargo of illegally sourced cigarettes in a concealed manner. As a result of the operational activities, one Lithuanian citizen was detained.
