On 18 April 2026, a dispute broke out between passengers on a train travelling from Riga to Valga. The service left the capital at 18.37 and was scheduled to arrive in Valga at 21.23.
An administrative violation is currently being investigated by the North Pierīga police station. In connection with this case, law enforcement officers have published a photograph of the individual and are requesting public assistance — if anyone recognises the man shown in the image, they are asked to report it by calling 112.
