Missing 11-year-old schoolgirl in Riga, police appeal for information
Riga region Criminal Police have launched a search for Veronika Markelova, born in 2013. She went missing on 1 July of this year after leaving a residential building on Latgales Street in the capital. Since that time, no information has been received about her whereabouts.
The missing girl is approximately 155 centimetres tall, of average build, with dark brown hair. On that day she was wearing light-coloured jeans, a white striped shirt, and white sports shoes.
Operational officers have obtained information that the schoolgirl could be in the vicinity of the Akropole Riga shopping centre.
Anyone with any information about Veronika's possible whereabouts is asked to contact law enforcement by calling 112 or 67086678.
