Riga Northern Police Department has issued a search for Pāvels Gordejevs, born in 2001, who has gone missing after unlawfully leaving a medical facility in the capital.

The incident was registered on 26 June at approximately 2 a.m., when the individual left the inpatient ward on Tvaika Street. Investigators warn that he may behave aggressively and pose a threat to those around him. At the time of his departure, he was wearing light-coloured, striped pyjamas.

Gordejevs has previously come to the attention of police. In early June, on the night of 5 to 6 June, whilst travelling by train, he physically assaulted the train conductor and took a bag belonging to the company. The baggage contained money and items necessary for work. The woman was taken to hospital following the assault. No other persons were injured in this incident.

Law enforcement authorities are urging anyone with information about Gordejevs's possible whereabouts to contact the unified emergency call number 112. Police have also published a photograph of the man for identification purposes.
