According to TVNET, officers of Ropažu Municipality police arrested a man in Silakrogs who had been convicted of intentionally causing serious bodily harm — not murder, as was initially reported.
The State Police confirmed that the individual was being sought in connection with the aforementioned conviction and for evading the execution of his sentence.
The arrest took place during a patrol when police officers noticed two individuals who appeared to be heavily intoxicated. Upon checking the individuals' personal data, it was established that one of the men was evading his sentence.
