Driver in Ulbroka travels with deceased person's licence; passenger flagged in international search
On 24 June, Ropažu Municipality Police in Ulbroka stopped a vehicle whose driver was using a driving licence issued to a deceased person. The passenger turned out to be a person flagged in an international search.

On the morning of 24 June, officers of Ropažu Municipality Police noticed a car being driven erratically in Ulbroka. Upon stopping the vehicle and checking the driver's details, it emerged that the presented driving licence had been issued to a deceased person.
The man explained that he had found the document and was using it because he himself did not have the right to drive a vehicle.
The passenger caused even greater surprise for law enforcement. When the data was checked, it was established that he was on Interpol's wanted list and was to be arrested immediately.
Both persons were handed over to the State Police.
