An electronics shop "Euronics" at the "Origo" shopping centre in Riga was broken into overnight on Wednesday. At the crime scene, smashed door glass is visible along with large stones, which may have been used to break in.
State Police representatives told news agency LETA that a criminal case has been opened for theft with signs of forced entry. Investigators are currently gathering evidence and attempting to establish who committed the act. The extent of the damage caused by the attack is still being determined.
LETA journalists observed this morning that glass had been smashed in the doors at the entrance to "Origo", with large stones scattered in the nearby section of pavement.
