Security forces were alerted shortly after the incident. They managed to apprehend the suspected perpetrator within a short timeframe. The latter has been placed in detention and is now subject to criminal proceedings.
Investigators are questioning the assailant's mental state. Evidence suggests he may be suffering from psychiatric disorders, although this hypothesis must be corroborated by expert assessments as the investigation progresses.
The competent public prosecutor's office is overseeing the investigation to clarify the exact course of events and understand what led the assailant to carry out the attack. The victim's remains have been sent to the forensic medicine institute for an autopsy, in accordance with applicable law.
