A violent dispute has cost the life of a resident of Inezgane, a locality situated near Agadir. Security authorities have arrested three individuals in connection with the tragedy.
During the night and into the early morning, officers from Agadir police prefecture conducted an operation that resulted in the capture of the suspected perpetrators. Two of them are considered the primary perpetrators of the assault. Officers also recovered the sharp object used during the incident.
The injured man had been evacuated to a healthcare facility in the area, but the treatment provided was not sufficient to save him. He died shortly after admission.
A third suspect was identified during the investigation: he is the brother of the deceased person, who allegedly became involved in the altercation against the two suspected attackers. One of the three detainees is already known to police for previous matters.
The prosecutor ordered the body to be retained for forensic medical examination. The detainees remain under police custody so that investigators can reconstruct the exact sequence of events and understand the reasons that prompted the individuals to come to blows.
