The services of the Central Bureau for Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) have proceeded with the dismantling of a terrorist cell linked to the Islamic State organisation (ISIS). This operation made it possible to thwart attack plans targeting national territory.
According to information reported by lopinion.ma, members of this cell were preparing violent actions using explosives and car bombs. BCIJ investigators interrupted these preparations before their execution.
This intervention is part of the counter-terrorism vigilance strategy conducted by Moroccan authorities. The kingdom maintains an offensive posture in the face of jihadist threats and regularly strengthens its prevention and suppression mechanisms against radical networks.
