Police said they received information on Tuesday evening regarding suspicious movements involving a Mazda vehicle on Ulisse Street, Marsalforn. Officials went immediately to the area, where they observed a person entering the vehicle before stopping it and arresting the driver.
During a search of the car, substances suspected to be cocaine and cannabis were found in circumstances indicating they were prepared for trafficking.
Police also seized items linked to drug activity, including a digital scale, a diary and a sum of cash.
The man is being held under arrest and is expected to be charged before Magistrate Jean Paul Grech at the Gozo Court tomorrow at approximately 8:30am.
