Three men, a German, a Ghanaian and a Sudanese national, were arrested following a police operation that discovered 11 cannabis plants in a property in Marsalforn, Gozo.
Three Men Arrested After Police Find 11 Cannabis Plants in Gozo Apartment
Three men were arrested on Tuesday morning after police conducted a search at an apartment on Triq il-Wied, Marsalforn, Gozo. Officers found 11 cannabis plants that were being grown in conditions exceeding the legal threshold.
The plants were found both inside the apartment and on the roof of the residential block. Officers also confiscated several packets of cannabis that were apparently ready for trafficking.
The three arrested persons are a 43-year-old man from Germany, a 37-year-old man from Ghana, and a 36-year-old man from Sudan.
The German appeared before the Gozo Court yesterday, under the presidency of Magistrate Jean Paul Grech, where he denied the charges against him. He was granted bail under a number of conditions.
Investigations regarding the other two are still ongoing.
