Police assess that there was only one perpetrator, and that he was not a member of the hunting club. His relationship to the victims has not yet been disclosed, and there is likewise no information about a possible motive.

– As far as I know, everything took place outdoors, said incident commander Bjølseth.

The seriously wounded man – a man in his 40s – has been air-transported to Ullevål Hospital in Oslo. Air traffic data shows that two police helicopters, one ambulance helicopter and one rescue helicopter were airborne in connection with the incident.

Norwegian Justice Minister Astri Aas-Hansen expressed sympathy with the victims and their relatives.

– It is now important to allow the police to do their work, and to ensure that relatives are properly cared for, she said in a statement to Norwegian news agency NTB.
