On the evening of 20 May, police intervened at a flat in Gogolin municipality – according to opolska.policja.gov.pl, the call concerned aggressive behaviour by a man towards family members. Witnesses indicated that he was under the influence of alcohol.
At the scene, officers found a 32-year-old who initially failed to respond to their commands. During further proceedings, it was established that the man was connected to an attempted robbery that had occurred several hours earlier in the same town. Near the suspect's property, police officers found items that could have originated from that crime.
During a search, officers secured a white powder. Testing showed it to be amphetamine.
The gathered evidence material enabled the man to be charged. At the request of the police and prosecutor, the court ordered the 32-year-old to be remanded in custody for three months.
