Authorities are investigating the homicide of an unidentified man, possibly homeless, found with multiple gunshot wounds on Reina Street in Ponce.

The Uniformed Police are investigating a homicide that occurred on Saturday night in the urban area of Ponce, in the southern zone of Puerto Rico.
According to the preliminary report, the body of a man was found on the pavement of Reina Street, at the intersection with Mercurio Street, at approximately 10:23 p.m. The victim presented wounds produced by firearm projectiles.
Thus far, authorities have not been able to establish the identity of the deceased. Initial investigations suggest it could be a person experiencing homelessness.
Officer José González Alameda, belonging to the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Ponce, assumed direction of the investigation. Prosecutor Juan Molina Pérez is also participating in the follow-up of the case.
