The Judicial Police arrested a 30-year-old man, allegedly involved in an attempted murder incident recorded in Gondomar in September of this year. The arrest took place during a search carried out at his residence.
Investigators seized a pistol, 130 bullets and other objects with evidential value for the investigation at the scene. The man was arrested in flagrante delicto.
The incident dates back to 13 September, when two groups, belonging to family lineages in conflict, staged a confrontation on the public roads of the locality. Those involved fired weapons of various calibres, generating panic and unrest among the resident population.
The PJ investigation focuses on the offences of attempted qualified murder and unlawful possession of a firearm. The defendant will be brought before the judicial authority for interrogation and a decision on coercive measures.
