Security forces arrested a 49-year-old man in Meadela, a locality in the municipality of Viana do Castelo, accused of dealing in illicit substances. The court ordered pre-trial detention for the defendant.
The arrested man was already known to authorities for similar offences in the past. At the time of his arrest, he was carrying various types of narcotics: heroin for approximately thirty-seven doses, cocaine for twelve doses and hashish for approximately nine doses.
Police also confiscated a mobile phone and material used in the processing and packaging of the product intended for sale.
