A 25-year-old man was arrested by investigators from the Setúbal PJ, accused of attempting to kill two people in the municipality of Barreiro.
The violent assaults occurred on 16 June, at a café terrace where several people were watching a football match. The detainee used a blade to attack two men, aged 28 and 21 years old. One of them was wounded in the neck region.
The reasons that led to the confrontation appear to have been insignificant, according to the authorities.
The defendant was questioned in court and subsequently the judge ordered his detention in a prison establishment, under preventive custody.
