The Judicial Police proceeded with the arrest of two youths in the municipality of Portimão, in the Algarve. The individuals, aged 18 and 19, are suspected of having committed crimes of rape and attempted rape against a 24-year-old woman. In addition, they are alleged to have made unlawful recordings and photographs of the victim. The news was first reported by Correio da Manhã.
The facts in question date back to December of last year. The PJ has now proceeded with the arrests, with the suspects having been formally indicted for the crimes of rape, attempted rape and unlawful image capture.
The investigation continues under the responsibility of the Judicial Police, which has not provided further details about the context in which the crimes occurred.
