Fraudster impersonates Portuguese prime minister
The office of the head of Government issued a statement on Monday evening denouncing a fraud campaign impersonating Luís Montenegro and his principal collaborator. The criminals contact potential victims by email and via the WhatsApp platform, pretending to represent the prime minister.
The scheme involves requesting the contacted individuals to sign a confidentiality document. Several citizens have already been targeted by this fraud attempt, according to the same statement.
