The woman accused of murdering her stepdaughter Lara, a child of eight years old, gave statements in court during the criminal trial. Eulália, the victim's stepmother, allegedly stated, according to a report from the programme 'Doa a Quem Doer', broadcast on CMTV: "I heard voices and I killed her."
The crime occurred following a series of events that culminated in the murder of the child. The defendant allegedly used her own hands to take the life of the child, and subsequently made a judicial confession.
The case was addressed in an episode of the podcast broadcast on 19 June, which reconstructed the steps taken by the girl up until the moment of the murder, as well as the statements made by the perpetrator during the court proceedings.
